Outfit du jour, Rag & Bone

Dress - Rag & Bone | Shoes - San Mariana | Clutch - Vintage

So first of all, I want to say 'sorry' for the copious amount of photos in this post.  The dress was so much fun to shoot I couldn't pick which pictures showed if off the best.  Next to Acne, Rag & Bone is one of my favorites.  I find there designs all super functional and livable, but, they are unique, fun, and totally glamourous.  This dress is lovely because it is 100% silk, flowy, and comfortable.
On another note, it's the last day of August already!! Does anyone else find that crazy?!? I think everyone has probably figured out though...I'm very, very excited for Fall.

Happy last days of summer.

Little goodies to get the week started

I had a pretty lovely weekend and I hope everyone else did too.  I actually had a day off on Saturday (which was amazing) and I quit one of my jobs (yay)! Now I need to find another 3rd job...I also received the photos from one of the Photo Shoots I just did with Karen and it looks pretty cool.  I will be posting some of the photos soon I hope! There was a storm last night that was 'incroyable'.  It rained so hard you couldn't see and the lightening brightened the entire sky. Fabulous.  Should be shooting some more looks soon (or at least I hope so).

1. Celebrated a friends birthday with little treats  2. Breakfast at the Farmers Market  3. I made pasta and Florian made the most amazing crêpes in the world  4. The best drinks in the word and dancing!

Bonne semaine à tous.

Jeans - Rag & Bone | Shirts - Boy by Band of Outsiders | Oxford - Proenza Schouler | Bag - Alexander Wang | Polish -Butter
     Jeans - Rag & Bone | Sweater - VPL | Polish - Chanel | Bag - Mulberry | Bootie - Acne

It finally rained last night!  It was absolutely lovely!  I sat outside on my porch drinking a glass or red wine while enjoying the drops falling on my face.  I accidently  mixed up my words at one point and called the thunderstorm a 'thunder-pouring'.  I kind of like it though.  The weekend has been pretty busy so far, going out to brunch today and then baking a cake!

I'm totally in love with both of these ensembles, by the way.  I'm obsessing over button-ups and sweaters right now and can't wear them.

I hope everyone on the east coast is okay!  I have no idea what it must be like to be faced with a hurricane (and tornado), but, I imagine it must be pretty scary.  Bon courage.

Ideas for the Weekend

I do not take credit for any of these photos.  They were found on Tumblr.

Have a good weekend everyone. I will be attending the farmers market, eating waffles, cooking, birthday partying (not mine, but friends) and, of course, blogging. Enjoy these yummy photos and I hope you find some inspiration in them!

A plus tard!

Jeu avec la lumière

    Ph/Florian Alberge

Florian and I did this shoot the other day and we were super lucky!  The light was perfect and it started to rain.  We were really happy with how the pictures turned out and had a hard time picking our favorites!
In other news,  did anyone read the article on Jon Huntsman in the September issue of Vogue?  Interesting, interesting.  Speaking of Vogue, I fell in some deep 'amour' with the Chanel spread, a Michael Stars sweater and some pieces by Eileen Fisher.  However,  I am now saving every penny I make and will avoid internet shopping...

Les cheveux fous

Ph/Alonzo Riley | Styled by/Lilia Oksjhdfks

Here are a few shots from a shoot I did a little while ago.  I think the colors in the photos are pretty cool (and I didn't have anything else to post today) so I thought I would share!
Lilia and Alonzo are both local SLC artists who do wonderful work.  They are amazing to work with.
On another note, right now I would really like to eat a cupcake.

Outfit du jour, pas d'ecole!

Top - Bluebird at Urban Blues | Jeans - Flying Monkey at UB | Shoes - Ecoté

The world starts classes again today, but not me.  I feel slightly lazy being done with school (for now), is that weird? I'm taking a Photoshop workshop later this year, so, I think that counts for something.
I'm not usually one to follow trends, but, I'm totally loving these red jeans.  They are a little bright, but, I think they might fade with time.  Right now, I am on the search for the perfect booties for fall.  So far, Alexander Wang is winning...Suggestions?

WishList (Ready for Fall)

Trousers - Pringle of Scotland | Sweater - Helmut Lang | Booties - Rag & Bone | Bag - 3.1 Phillip Lim

Ohhh how I would absolutely love to wear this!  Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to...
I'm extremely ready for fall and for it to stay fall for a long time.  I love big sweaters, booties and layering.  However it is hot here.  Luckily it hasn't reached 100F but it's still about 96F.  The only thing keeping me going is a blended mocha smoothie from the Tea Grotto.  Might have to get me one of those today.

To all of you who start school tomorrow, bon courage!

Places: Koko's Kitchen

Koko's Kitchen | 3rd East 7th South | About $10 for a lot of Ramen

Florian took me to Koko's kitchen the other day because I had surprisingly never been there!  He says they have some of the best Ramen he has ever tasted.  That's saying something since he has lived in Japan.  It was a lot of food but it's basically delicious.  If you are feeling hungry, I would most definitely recommend going.

Hope you are hungry!

Outfit du jour, jeudi

Top - UB | Blouse - Thrifted | Shorts - Acne

I'm totally obsessed with these Acne shorts.  I think I have worn them everyday this summer.  I love that they are loose and that they sit lower on the hips (without falling off).  Acne always does everything right though!  I decided to try paring this top with a button-up but I actually prefer it with out anything underneath.  It was worth trying though!

Have a lovely weekend, finally.  I plan on doing some baking.  Maybe a poppyseed white cake...

Recipe: Pumpkin Muffins

I thought these where quite delicious and easy.  I think I am going to try to make them again and instead of using chocolate chips, try putting some walnuts and carrots in the them.  They make a fabulous breakfast, especially when dipped in a fresh cup of coffee.

Adapted from the American club, in Kohler, Wisconsin via Gourmet Magazine

1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup canned solid-pack pumpkin
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pumpkin-pie spice
1¼ cups (plus 1 tablespoon) sugar
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Preheat oven to 350°
Put liners in muffin cups.
Whisk together pumpkin, oil, eggs, pumpkin pie spice, 1 1/4 cups sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl until smooth, then whisk in flour mixture until just combined.
Stir together cinnamon and remaining 1 tablespoon sugar in another bowl.
Divide batter among muffin cups (each should be about three-fourths full), then sprinkle tops with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Bake until puffed and golden brown and wooden pick or skewer inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool in pan on a rack five minutes, then transfer muffins from pan to rack and cool to warm or room temperature.

Finally had time to shoot a look!  My work schedule has been crazy recently.  I definitely need the hours though, so I'm not complaining about it. I've also become very into running shoes.  They are practically all I wear anymore, which is weird.  They are just so comfortable...
